******Warning********
This post will be a little long!
This weekend was a very very very busy one. I picked my niece Tiana up from school on Friday and headed home to bake a birthday cake for my cousin’s party for Saturday. I finished just in time to get dressed and run out the door to the Rodeo Houston to see the one and only Mary J Blidge.
I changed shoes 4 times before I decided on which ones to wear because I wanted to be comfortable but still cute at the same time. As soon as we got to the Reliant I had to get a funnel cake. I had been dreaming about eating one since my sister-in-law called and asked if we wanted to go with them. The funnel cake took my mind of the fact that my feet were killing me from walking about a mile from the parking location to the carnival. I didn’t take very many pictures at all because my mind was on my painful feet. However, Mary J was the bomb. She did an awesome job and I would love to see her in concert.
After we got home on Friday night Darrell went to work and I was going to head to a friend’s house for her boyfriend’s birthday party. Lets just say that I sat on the couch and didn’t get up until around 1am so I missed the party.
I woke up on Saturday and finished the birthday cake for the party and got DJ ready for his basketball tournament in Houston. I stayed home with the girls so that we could go to the party. We had so much fun at Main Event!
The birthday kids…Rhian and Steven
Me and the girls
Lauryn loves to bowl
Happy Birthday Steven and Rhian!
After the party all the girls decide that it would be a great idea to spend the night with Lauryn. My first thought was…that’s a great idea until I realized that Lauryn lived with me. I ended up with 10 kids at my house with 6 of them being girls but everything went well.
The weekend didn’t stop there. DJ had a basketball game on Sunday so I loaded the girls up and dropped them off at Chanel’s house and headed to Houston for the game. DSG did an awesome job but fell a little short in the end. DJ was great and was the leading scorer with 13 points. Here are a few pictures from the game.
Next weekend is looking a little busy as well but at least next week is Spring Break. YEA!
