Basketball has started for us and won’t end until the end of July. DJ plays on an AAU team called the Dickinson Select Gators (DSG) and I am a board member. We have a city league under the DSG umbrella and both kids play on a team. Darrell is finally able to coach a team this year. His past work schedule didn’t allow him to coach before. Lauryn said that she didn’t want him for a coach but he could help her. DJ was excited to have his dad as his coach. Darrell is so excited because he has been wanting to do this for a long time.
I forgot my camera for DJ’s game but I did get a few shots of Lauryn.
Please be prepared to hear about basketball for a while. DJ’s AAU season does not end until the end of July. This year we have the following out of town cities to compete in:
Dallas, Port Arthur, Baton Rouge, Pine Bluff, and San Antonio. These places might be the only family vacation we get this summer.
